Sole School
Founded by City Gear in 2015, Sole School is a community giveback program through which local stores connect with and provide support to underserved schools and athletic programs in their neighborhoods. In 2023, City Gear donated over $330,000 in funds to more than 100 schools as well as $320,000 in gift cards to team equipment needs. Three special Sole Schools were also featured in highlight episodes of Nike's Only Basketball campaign.

Cutz 4 Kids & Clips and Kicks
This BTS season, City Gear and special sponsors hosted 14 Clips and Kicks and Cutz 4 Kids events across nine states, providing kids with free haircuts and school supplies at local stores.

Fresh Off The Block Ohio Giveback
Giving back to the communities we serve is the pinnacle of our mission. In partnership with Nike, City Gear celebrated two individuals featured in an episode of Fresh Off The Block by presenting each of them with $10,000 each for their respective organizations, Based on a True Story and the Leave Your Mark Foundation.

City Gear x Nike Honor HBCUs with Donations
To mark the exclusive launch of Nike's 2023 HBCU Terminator collection, City Gear and Nike donated $10,000 each to the 5 HBCUs across the Southeast featured in the collection. Donation recipients were Tuskegee University, Tennessee State University, Spelman University, Alabama A&M University, and Morehouse University.

City Gear x Nike Donate to JC Boxing
In celebration of Air Max Day, we partnered with Nike to donate $25,000 to JC Boxing, who are dedicated to the Louisville area youth providing mentorship so they can know what it means to live MAXXED.OUT.
